Lawrence County is located in southern middle Tennessee. We are 75 miles from the state’s capital city, Nashville. Florence, Alabama, the nearest metropolitan center, is located 40 miles to the south.
Our vibrant history includes the famed frontiersman and statesman David Crockett and the rich foundations of the Southern Gospel Music industry. Tourists are drawn to our area throughout the year to attend numerous festivals and cultural events, browse our interesting museums, shop our friendly merchants, visit the tranquil Amish community, and just relax!
