Purchasing Committee

February 4, 2010

The Lawrence County Purchasing Committee convened on Thursday, February 4, 2010 at 4 p.m. in the Second Floor Conference Room of the Lawrence County Administrative Center.

Members present were Rick Hill, Alan Keener, Paul Rosson and Jerry Dryden. Also present was Purchasing Agent Carla Burden, Highway Superintendent Donnie Joe Brown and Patsy Lee of the Highway Department. Several bidders also attended.

The purpose of the meeting was to open bids for highway department equipment, a knuckle boom loader.

Bids were opened from the following vendors:

Municipal Equipment, Inc.

Stringfellow

D&W Environmental, Inc.

CMI Sales, Inc.

Cumberland International Trucks, Inc.

See attached bid tabulation.

A motion was made by Alan Keener, seconded by Rick Hill to ask Donnie Joe Brown to review the bids and make a recommendation to the Purchasing Committee. The motion was approved with all ayes.

The meeting was adjourned without objection.
